Annie G. Walter was born on January 8, 1909 at Gary, SD to Emery Guy and Dena (Sleaper) Moore. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gary. On June 26, 1927 she was married to fritz Walter at Altamont, SD. The couple lived at Altamont and Gary before moving to Canby, MN. Fritz passed away on November 3, 1976.

Annie was a lifelong member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gary and the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed being a homemaker and crocheting, sewing, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school.

Annie is survived by two daughters: Laura Peterson of Canby, MN; and Harmena Wiederich of Gary, South Dakota; her grandchildren; James (Ann) Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD; Diane (Kevin Cookingham) Peterson of Fargo, ND: Darlene (Dan) Peterson Poach of Montevideo, MN; Terry (Sue) Wiederich of Marshall, MN; and Sheryl (Don) Boeson of Howard Lake, MN; and her great-grandchildren; Danielle and Anthony Wiederich, Billie Jo Sheppard and Kayla Boeson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fritz in 1976; her step-father, Claus Martins; and her sister, Jeanette.
Blessed be her memory.
