Funeral service for Harmena Wiederich, age 66, of Gary, SD will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10th at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gary, SD with Rev. Bruce Mueller officiating.

Mrs Wiederich passed away on Saturday, July 6th at the Deuel County Memorial hospital in Clear Lake, SD.

Burial will be in the Grandview Cemetery at Gary.

Organist will be Jannelle Denekamp with the congregation singing several selections.

Harmena Dena Wiederich was born on September 4, 1935 in Gary, SD to parents Fritz and Annie (Moore) Walter. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Gary.

On July 7, 1956 Harmena was married to Robert Wiederich in Gary. The couple lived on a farm north of Gary for 40 years, where they raised their children Terry and Sheryl. In addition to being a homemaker, Harmena also worked as a child care provider, an Avon representative and reported Gary local news for the newspapers in Clear Lake and Watertown.

Some of Harmena's enjoyments in life included gardening and working on the farm. She loved life, and was a friend to anyone she met. She spent many joyful hours on the farm and with her keds and grandchildren. Harmena was loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Wiederich of Gary, SD, children: Terry (and Sue) Wiederich of Gary, SD and Sheryl ( and Donald) Boeson of Howard Lake, MN, Amy Wiederich of Glen Rose, TX, four grandchildren; Billie Joe Sheppard, Kayla Boeson, Danielle Wiederich and Anthony Wiederich; and one sister Laura Petersen of Canby, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fritz in 1976 and Annie in 1999.
