I was net surfing this Sunday AM ( July 17, 2005) and was wondering if I could learn anything about the Rippentrop genealogy.

My mother's maiden name was Rippentrop. Her father was George J Rippentrop of Titionka, Iowa and members of Ramsey Reformed Church of Titonka.

'Della M. Rippentrop, 87

Funeral services for Della M. Rippentrop were held Monday, November 21, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. Ramsey Reformed Church, rural Titonka with Rev. Dennis Dedeker officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with LeRoy Hoffman, Ben Lee, KennethUbben, Verlyn Ubben Marvin Strobel and Jerry Baade as casketbearers. Della died at Mercy Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City on Wednesday, November 16. The Garry-Roberts-Murphy-Schaaf Funeral Home of Titonka was in charge ofarrangements.

Della Marie Rippentrop was born on July 7, 1918 at Titonka, Iowa to Ben and Tena (Jaspers) Meyer. Della attended rural schools near Titonka and married John S. Rippentrop on June 5, 1940 at Ramsey Reformed Church of Titonka. She andJohn lived 19 years near Buffalo Center, then farmed outside of Titonka for 23 1/2 years. They moved into Titonka in the fall of 1987. Della became a resident of the Titonka Care Center in August 2005.

Della was a member of Ramsey Reformed Church, was a Sunday School teacher, Cradle Roll supervisor for 10 years, and belonged to the Circle and Guild, holding various offices. While living in Titonka, Della worked for Rollie Fox at thegrocery store for 13 years and worked for 10 years organizing people to canvas for donations for a children's home in Des Moines. She enjoyed reading, traveling, handwork and playing cards.

Survivors include her daughter Marilyn and husband, Don Mentzer, of Arlington, Nebraska, daughter-in-law LeeAnn Rippentrop of Maple Grove, Minnesota, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and brother Wesley Meyer and wife, Gladys,of Blue Earth, Minnesota. Della was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John on March 6, 1998, son, Marvin , in 1993, and granddaughter, Teresa Mentzer, in 1969, as well as three brothers and one sister.' <>
