Funeral services were held on Monday, November 27 from the Ramsey Reformed Church for Tena Jaspers Meyer who passed away Thursday, November 23. Rev. John Janssen was in charge. Casket attendants were Henry Baade, E. J. Sonnenberg, HenryVan Hove, William Spear, John Welhousen and Ben Miller, Interment was in the Meyer Annex to German Township Cemetery. The Blake Funeral Hoome was in charge of arrangements.

Tena Jaspers Meyer was born in Grundy County, near Wellsburg, Iowa, November 14, 1873 and grew to womanhood there. She was one of seven children and the daughter of Harm and Trientje Jaspers. She passed away November 23, at the age of88 years and 9 days. She enjoyed quite good health until two months ago when she became ill and was taken to the Britt Hospital and later to the Jutting Nursing Home in Buffalo Center.

On March 1 1899 she was united in marriage to Ben H. Meyer. After their marriage they established their home in the vicinity of Titonka until they retired and moved to Titonka in 1945. Seven children were born to this unioon; Dick ofAlgona, Tena (Mrs Harm Kettwich) of Titonka, Wesley of Elmore, Bert and Della (Mrs. John S. Rippentrop) of Buffalo Center. Two children died in infancy.

Mrs Meyer united with the Ramsey Reformed Church in 1915 and was an active member throught her earthly life. She taught Sunday School for a number of years, and was also a life member of the Ladies Aid Society.

Her husband, Ben H. Meyer preceded her in death on May 20, 1959. She is survived by her five children, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, two brothers, one sister, and a host of relatives and friends."
