'I think I may have found Louise Ebel and her husband, whom I had only as 'Unknown' Cheer.

Lyon Co., KS, Emporia Twp., E.D. 13, sheet 5A, April 10, 1930: Cheer, William 56 married at 29, born in NY, parents born in England
Louise F. 41 married at 19, born in Ohio, parents born Hamburg, Germany
Bernice 22 born in Kansas The city in England followed the name of the country, but it wasn't legible. That the Ebels came from Hamburg in news to me. My guess that's the port they left from to come to the U.S. I believe Danzig was their home city, at leastthere's where my grandmother came from and Martin was her brother.'
