John H. Shrock, 74, died Monday. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, 2 pm. at Pinetops Baptist Church by Rev. John Melancon; burial in Pinetops Cemetery.

Shrock, the widower of Helen Ryan Shrock, was born March 27, 1915 in Indiana. He was the son of the late Fred and Caroline Bright Shrock.

He is survived by a daughter, Ms Debra Shrock of the home; two sons, Joe Shrock of New Bern and Steve Shrock of Mendon, Ohio; four sisters: Mrs. Mae Majors, of Arkansas, Mrs. Mary McCord, Mrs. Cecil Rittenhouse, and Mrs. Martha Ryan, all of Indiana; two brothers, James Shrock, and Mick Shrock both of Indiana; 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Mable Boyd, Dortha Shrock, and 6 brothers: Robert Shrock, Paul Shrock, Raymond Shrock, George Shrock, Donald Shrock, and Daniel Shrock.

The family will receive friends today from 7-9 pm at Carlisle Funeral Home.
