HENRY STECKER, JR., son of Bruno and Ellen Stecker, was born April 18, 1915 in Titonka. He attended school in Titonka, and worked at home on the farm. Henry married Margaret Sleper, daughter of John E. and Etta (Rippentrop) Sleper. She taught country school in German Township. Henry and Margaret farmed until 1982, when they moved into Titonka. Henry died July 3, 1988. Henry and Margaret had ten children: Beverly (Mrs. Maurice Anderson) of Ft. Meyers, Florida; Marlys (Mrs. Robert Randick, Jr.) of Lafayette, California; Harlen of Isanti, Minnesota; Bruce of Buffalo, Minnesota; Darrell, who died at four months of age, Lemont of Des Moines, Iowa; Virginia (Mrs. Stan Axtell) of Lasalle, Colorado; Dean of Lacona, Iowa; Jocelyn of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Marg (Mrs. Tom Lichter) of Burt, Iowa. There are twenty grandchildren."
