George Harrower Rennie, baker, residing at 31 Minto Gardens, died with tragic suddenness in Stirling Street. He had been a spectator at the football Match at Tollcross Park but not feeling altogether well he left before the finish and had got as far as Stirling Street when he suddenly collapsed. Dr Davidson was immediately summoned but on examination he found life extinct. Deceased was an enthusiastic member of the local Lodge of Freemasons St. Servanus Lodge No. 771, and occupied the Senior Warden’s chair for the current year. His death came as a great shock to the whole community. And the funeral, which took place last Tuesday afternoon was largely attended. Eighty-one brethren of Lodge St. Servanus and of sister lodges in the Province were present, and the service was conducted by the Rev. John Boyd B.D. Vice-Chaplain of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire, and R.W.M. Bro. Westwood
