SUDDEN DEATH -
It came as a great surprise when it became known that Mr Colin Harrower, Ochil Street, had collapsed suddenly in his house on Sunday morning and passed away. For some little time he had not been feeling so well, but nothing serious was anticipated, On Saturday he was out and about as was his wont, and apparently as cheery as ever. The deceased was well known and respected in Tillicoultry, and was employed for over forty years as a pattern weaver in the firm of Messrs J.& D. Paton & Co. Ltd. He was an ardent fisher in his younger days, and interested himself in everything that pertained to the welfare of the community. His wife predeceased him several years ago. Much sympathy is extended to his family in their sudden sad bereavement.

The records were released on 5 April 2011 following the end of their 100 year closure period. There were new questions relating to fertility of marriage: on duration of marriage; the number of living children born to each marriage; and the number alive at the time of the census. There were changes to several others: categories for people with disabilities were revised and the introductory section to the third report on the 1911 census refers to the intended use of the terms as: lunatic - in cases where the infirmity had been acquired during life imbecile - in extreme cases where the infirmity had existed from birth or an early age feeble-minded - in milder cases where the infirmity had existed from birth or an early age.
