    In het kasboek van de kerk te Noordhorn staat:

    I/U Nh.: 24-7-1759 Die oude vrou Bennema begraven 11.11.-

    I/U Nh.: 25-1-1760 ontv. van H.Bennema voor het zwarte laken 15.15.-

    In het boek: "in en om de kerk van Noordhorn" op blz. 26 staat vermeld dat in 1759 bij de begrafenis van de oude mevrouw Bennema 41 gulden en 11 stuivers werd opgehaald als "Ontfanck uit die Becken " en voor het gebruik van het zwarte laken werd nogeens ruim 15 gulden betaald.
