    Eje Hillies FERINGA, Landbouwer op Westerpama, landdagcomparant. Gehuwd met Hendrickje SIPKES. Mogelijk stamde hij af van de smid Eije Jiltis uit Niezijl, die op 31 mei 1622 trouwde met Geertien Geerts uit Noordhorn.

    Hij was diaken. Het echtpaar Feringa-Bennema woonde aan de Lageweg 40 te Grijpskerk.

    Lidmatenboek Grijpskerk: 03-03-1682: Jije Jeltes Feringa op de Oosterwaert (zie Grijpskerk, boerderij 64 en 77).

    1684: Van de Waerdt: Eije Jeltes en Griettie Jansen, sijn Huisv.

    1693: Leedemaeten op de Ruigewart en Commersijl te samen: IJe Jeltes en Grietien Jansen, sijn huisvr.

    "Die in Niehove, rond 1689 overleden en gehuwd met Hindrickje Botes. Hij komt met de naam Feringa voor in het kerkboek van Niehove, waar hij vanaf 1687, en zijn weduwe Hindrickje Botes vanaf 1690 een gras kerkeland huurt, voorheen in gebruik door zijn zwager Harcke Sipkes en nog eerder door de welbekende grietman Sipke Botes. Naderhand de Leekse pastoor Venhuizen.
