Ida (Ina) Mae Scott was married at least four times. She married a ranchhand Ben Keeling then Thomas Harrison who was the father of her daughterShirley Rose Harrison. She also married Ed Gilson and finally ClarenceEpperly. She believed in reincarnation and attended Rosecrution meetings.She was intelligent, stubborn, fiercely jealous and an immaculatehousekeeper. She changed her name from Ida to Ina.

She and her sister seemed to have a lifelong rivalry. Ina was persuadedto agree to pretend that her sisters child was hers so as to not allowthe family to be harmed by Arlene's "indescretion." Arlene was thebeautiful one, Ina the diligent one.
