They were marriedabout 1838 and moved from Tennessee to Panola, Mississippi in about 1840.Their son John Henry was born in Mississippi and they moved to Arkansaswhere their daughter Sarah Emaline was born. In 1846 they moved to TitusCounty, Texas where Permelia was born 6 Aug 1852 along with nine of hersiblings. In 1864 they started across the plaines for California on theButterfield Trail. They arrived in San Bernardino, California in 1865where they lived in El Monte for a year or two then moved to the RinconDistrict between Chino and Corona. Issac Hickey was a Baptist minister.
