There is a remote possiblity that this William Lewis is the one referred to that many sources state is the father Mourning Lewis (who married Robert Adams II), but I haven't found proof for that one either." That this William was brother to David is per the latter's baptismal record (per Karen Wood)

Henrico Co. Wills---Will of William Lewis (Oral Will) Dec. 24, 1706. To eldest son John, the plantation where I live, 100 acres purchased of William Porter, Jr. on north side of White Oak Swamp. To two sons William and Joseph, 200 acres at Three Runs, with a parcel on White Oak Swamp and Deep Run, to be divided. The rest of the estate to wife, adding that the children being her as well as his, he knew she would do as well for them as he would. ; Spoken in the presence of George Paine & Elizabeth Johnson. Presented in court by Elizabeth Lewis, the relict, and recorded May 1, 1707.
