BROBOL GENEALOGIE

INHOUD en

GEBRUIKSAANWIJZING

INHOUD:

USER MANUAL

Content:

This genealogy was first drafted in 1980 and has been worked on ever since. It resulted in a digital file, containing over 70000 names, that are -in one way or another-  related. This document focusses on the family Broekhuis and (van) Broekhuizen. They originate from ‘the Veluwe’; an area located in the centre of the Netherlands. Aside the names mentioned previously, there is a number of families with homonymous names described, but they show no identifiable connection with former family Broekhuis. The Barneveld family of Broekhuis and those who are  related by marriage have been investigated in particular and they have been given their own pedigree. This resulted in the origin of the pedigree of: Gerrit Jan Broekhuis and Gijsbertha Moesbergen, of Jan Broekhuis and Heintje of Wessel and of Gerarda Broekhuis and Jan Gaasbeek.

Of the next generation, the pedigree was elaborated of the children of Gerrit Jan Broekhuis and Gijsbertha Moesbergen: of Leendert Kiezebrink and Klasina Broekhuis,of  Rijk Broekhuis and Aletta Silfhout, of  Lubertus leertouwer and Wijnanda Broekhuis, of Hendrikus Broekhuis and Sophia Johanna van Beek and of Gerrit Jan Broekhuis and Gijsbertha van de Kieft.

From the same generation, but from the offspring of Jan Broekhuis and Heintje van Wessel: the pedigree of Rijk Broekhuis and Johanna Knevel, of Jan Broekhuis and Geertruida Johanna Koning, of Jan Anthonie Broekhuis and Johanna Brouwer, of Gerrit Jan Broekhuis and Jans Maria Veerman/Adri de Ru, of Jacobus Johannes Broekhuis and Jannetje Groothuis and of Hendrikus Broekhuis and Elisabeth van de Brink.

In addition, the family tree of the granddaughter of Gerarda broekhuis and Jan Gaasbeek: Jannetje de bruin and Hendrikus van den Brink.

This genealogy includes the pedigree of the current generation, knowing: Gerrit Jan Broekhuis and Hildegard Bolz (Germany), of Johannes Frederik Baaten (+Galjaard) and Marjolein Plas (+ Jansen van Galen), of Willem van Amerongen and Maria Broekhuis and of Hendrikus van den Brink and Jannetje de Bruin.

For the most part all generations are from the Veluwe. The data used is based on private investigation, city archives and internet research. The internet was especially useful for extracting data from other (existing) genealogies. These are often checked for accuracy, but not always. Data from before 1600 has not been checked by the author, however lots of the data found has been corrected by comparing one source with another. It’s an interesting trivial fact, that many of us are late descendants from the famous Emperor Charles the Great. Research shows that almost the half of Western Europe has the same blood line, but it is particularly nice it can be proven by this genealogy.
