Marguerite graduated from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon with the class of 1938. She followed the teaching profession and at the same time studied for a Master's Degree which she received before entering the military service in 1942. She served in the WAAC and Army Medical Corps as Second Lieutenant until the close of WWII. She served as a Physical Therapist and entered that field upon returning to Civilian life. She served as a Physical Therapist at Doernbecher Hospital in Portland, Oregon, at Warm Springs Foundation in Georgia, and more recently at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Marguerite graduated in Physical Education from Willamette University and later earned a Masters Degree from University of Oregon in Eugene. While earning her Masters, she was also teaching in Eugene High School.
