Alexander came to America as a young man and settled in a Stock raising section of the State of Montana near Harlowtown. He was employed for many years on the cattle and sheep ranch of the Pendleton Ranch Company and its successors, John Ross, and Ray and Joe Blazquere. He remained single and retired and made his home in Harlowtown at this writting in 1964. He is said to be thrifty and a pipe-smoking Scotsman, in politics a Republican, quick-tempered but loyal to and held in high esteem by his friends and acquaintances.
