Donna Mae Passmore February 25, 1946 - November 12, 2015
Donna Mae Passmore, 69, of Mapleton, died on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 16 from 5-7 p.m. at Olson-Tichenor Funeral Home in Mapleton. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Thompson, IA. Donna Mae was born on February 25, 1946 in Buffalo Center, IA to Menno and Everdena (Meyering) Folkerts. She graduated from high school in Thompson, IA. Donna was united in marriage to Chuck Passmore on October 30, 1964. They were later divorced. Donna worked at Grandview Good Samaritan in St. Peter for 43 years. Donna was very loyal to her family, friends and work. She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas with her family and spending time at her brother, Rick's cabin on Spirit Lake. Family was most important to Donna, especially spending time with her grandchildren, mother, and extended family. She loved to laugh and have fun. Donna was the most generous and giving person, always putting others before herself. Donna is survived by her mother, Everdena Folkerts of Thompson, IA; two children, Mike (Lisa Ann) of Kerkhoven, MN and Lisa (Jeremy) Passmore of Mapleton; nine grandchildren, Michael Passmore, Michelle Fuller, Sean Bredeson, Jasmine (Andy) Leikvoll, Daniel Passmore, Russell Passmore, Tony Passmore, Skylar Passmore, and Allison Wruck; four great-grandchildren, Clowey, Journey, Michael Jr., and Livi; siblings, Gary Folkerts, Vivian Lara, David (Diane) Folkerts, Rick (Abby) Folkerts, Ann Brunsen, Gary (Fran) Passmore, and Lyle (Diane) Passmore; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Dennis; niece, Jackie; nephew, Curt; father and mother-in-law, Walt and Velma Passmore; and dear friend, Harriet Willaert.
