Funeral services for Norman Heitland, 68, of AZ, formerly of Buffalo Center, who died Thursday morning, July 28, 1983, at a Lutheran Hospital at Mesa, AZ after an illness, were held Monday morning, August 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the TrinityLutheran Church at Kiester, MN with the Rev. Harold Shudlick officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Lee Funeral Home of Bricelyn and Kiester, MN was in charge of arrangements. Casketbearers were Tim Heitland, Jerry Alvey, Gregory Heitland, Clayton Erdal, Jim Heitland and Keith Thompson. Honorary casketbearers were Elmer Leibrand, A,M. Priest, Jr., Don Teig, A. D. Austin, Dave Yegge and Gary Hove. Carol Simonson was the organist and Mrs. Harold Shudlick, the soloist.
Norman Heitland married Agnes Erdal on September 25,1935. She passed away in 1972.
In 1973 he married Florence Erdal. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Pam Rutledge of Tama; a stepson, Morris Erdal, Minneapolis, MN; and two grandchildren; five brothers', Joe, Alfred and Harold of Buffalo Center; Forrest, Oelwein,and Huxley, Phoenix, AZ; four sisters, Esther Alvey, Thompson, Grace Smith, Rockwell', Margaret Rafferty, Austin, MN, and Mildred Leibrand, Buffalo Center." <>
