Funeral Service Today For Henry Gray, 78
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 from the Ramsey Reformed Church for Henry Gray, 78, who passed away at his home northwest of Titonka Monday evening. Rev. John Janssen will officiate, and Blake Funeral Home isin charge of arrangements. Interment will be in the Buffalo Township Cemetery.
Henry Gray was born Sept. 27, 1885 at Bellingerswolde [sic], Holland. He came to this country in 1903, settling at Kamrar, Iowa. On Dec. 30, 1908 he was married to Grace Huisman. To this union seven children were born. They are Henry,Fred, Leonard, Mervin and Viola, all of Titonka, and Elmer and Mrs John (Irene) Ubben of Buffalo Center.

Henry Gray was born at Bellingerwolde [sic], Holland on Sept. 27, 1885. He was the oldest of seven children born to Mr Henry Gray and his wife, Dora Schipper Gray. He spent his youth in his native land and came to this country with hisparents when he was 17 years of age. They settled at Kamrar, Iowa.
On December 20, 1908 he was united in holy matrimony to Grace Huisman, daughter of Mr and Mrs Folkert Huisman, at the Presbyterion [sic] Church at Kamrar. They lived near Kamrar until the spring of 1914 when they moved to the vicinity ofTitonka. This union was blessed with ten children. He became a member of the Ramsey Reformed Church of Titonka in 1948. He continued to farm until 1949 when they retired on their farm. He enjoyed comparative good health and togetherwith his wife observed their 55th wedding anniversary in December.
He passed away suddenly on February 10, 1964, following a heart attack. He attained the age of 78 years, 4 months and 13 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, two infant sons, and one daughter, Dorothy. He leaves to mourn his widow, Grace; seven children: Henry, jr. and Fred of Titonka, Elmer of Buffalo Center, Leonard,Mervin and Viola of Titonka, and Mrs John (Irene) Ubben of Buffalo Center; 21 grand children; 3 great grand children, one brother, Gerrit of Lake Mills, one sister, Mrs Dick (Reka) Gelder, of Wellsburg; a half-brother Dietrich, and astep-mother, Mrs Gerdena Barnes, of Ledyard. Beside these there are many other relatives and friends who mourn his departure.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 at Ramsey REformed Church with Rev. John E. Janssen officiating. Burial was in the Buffalo Township Cemetery, with Blake Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Pall bearers were Carl Harms, Ted Van Hove, Enko Smidt, Steve Tjaden, Forrest Willis and Simon Smidt."

Henry Gray
Henry Gray was born at Bellngerwolde, Holland on September 27, 1885. He was the oldest of seven children born to Mr. Henry Gray and his wife, Dora Schipper Gray.
