    Tekst van het Bidprentje;

    "Hij zal bij ons in de herinnering blijven als een beminnelijke man waar we hecht mee verbonden waren. Zijn eenvoud, trouw en gemoedelijkheid heeft grote indruk op ons gemaakt. Het was voor ons eenvreugde te zien he hij genoot van het leven , van de plaats waar hij woonde, van zijn kindern en kleinkinderen, ja van iedereen waar hij nee in contact kwam. Hij hield van mensen; was echt in hen geinteresseerd. Het grootste plezier had hij als hij in een kring van mensen de sterkste verhalen kon vertellen. Dankwam zijn gevoel voor humor duidelijk naar voren. Bovendien kon hij gezelligheid brengen door zijn muzikale kwaliteiten. gaarn was hij bereid om op zijn accordeon te spelen. "
