    "Harm was een van de zes kinderen uit het gezin Zoelman. Hij is nog twee jaar naar de gewone lagere school gegaan, maar toen werd hij door ziekte langzamerhand doof.


    Dat betekende noodgedwongen verhuizen naar St Michielsgestel in Branbant, waar een katholiek tehuis was voor doven en slechthorenden. Nadien woonde Harm nog tweejaar in Zeelst, waarna hij in Rosmalen werd geplaatst. Daar heeft hij het erg naar de zijn gehad, de heimwee ging wat over en Harm werkte graag in de varkensfokkerij.


    In januari 1975 is Harm naar Groningen gegaan, naar de woonvorm voor doven in Lewenborg. Hij ging aan het werk in DWS Stadspark aan de Peizerweg. Hij had het prima naar zijn zin. Hij heeft op de fiets heel wat kilometers afgelegd in de provincie. naar Delfzijl of naar Musselkanaal, fietsen was zijn lust en zijn leven.


    Ook reisde hij veel per trein en per bus.  In de famiie zou hij geen verjaardag overslaan eb guh gaf cadeautjes weg als was het zijn hobby.


    Geheel onverwacht is Harm op 3 juni 1994 bezweken aan een hersenbloeding. Hij stierf in het Academisch Ziekenhuis te Groningen"
