== Biography ==
Barrett was the youngest son of Samuel Dyer(or Dyre) and Ann Hutchinson (granddaughter of Ann(Marbury)Hutchinson). His grandmother was Mary Barrett Dyer. Barrett was baptized in Bristol, RI, on 2 May 1697.
He was a cooper by trade.
He married 3 times all in Boston.
1.Hannah Stewart — married June 29, 1699 by Cotton Mather.
They had one son: Barrett. Born on 19 Oct 1703 in Boston. Barrett died in Boston, on 10 Aug 1718; he was 14. On April 24, 1732 his brother Henry sold all his land in Lebanon,Ct to Barrett. Henry became the keeper of the Almshouse on Boston Common until his death.
Barrett's wife Hannah died in 1789.

2.Elizabeth Mann — married 1730, she died bef. 17443.Abigail (Arnold) Blake — married 27 Nov 1744Marriage Index: Massachusetts, 1633-1850, CD 231
No children by his last two marriages.

At a Meeting of the Boston Select men, Nov. 3, 1739.Liberty is hereby Granted to mr. Barrat Dyre to Dig up the Pavement and Open the Ground in Marlborough Street, in order to Clear his Drain, running from the Cellar of his House in said Street into Milk Street upon Condition that he forthwith make good the Ground and Pavement again, and keep the same in repair from time to time to the Satisfaction of the Select men.
