==Biography==John was the eldest son of [[Cooke-875|John Carewe Cooke]] and [[Carter-203|Alice Carter]] was born and christened at Westhorpe, Suffolk in 1553. He married [[Buttlar-1| Alice Buttlar]] at St. Leonard's, Shoreditch in June, 1577 Ancestry.com. London, England, Church of England Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1538-1812 [database on-line].
