== Biography ==As John Coke alias Carewe he, with his wife Alice and others, sold lands in Westhorpe and Walsham, co. Suffolk, in 1543, to Robert Harte. In the second assessment of the subsidy of 1545-6 he, as John Coke, was taxed for goods at Westhorpe with his father, Humphrey Coke.
