Een cliënt van me heeft zich gevestigd in het châtelette du Cheix, nog geen kilometer van ons huis in Biollet. Op zoek naar oorspronkelijke afbeeldingen van dit in 1792 - de franse revolutie - deels verwoeste kasteeltje heb ik de lijnen uitgezocht, waarlangs dit kasteeltje in het bezit kwam van de Boucherons. Rond 1225 brengt Marguerite, Dame de Biollet bij haar huwelijk Le Cheix in de familie de Roche-d'Agoux. Daarmee kreeg die familie ook Puy-du-Prat, le Bost-Magnat-Puy-Malsignat, la Voreille en les Termes in bezit en beheersten ze vanaf toen de hele Combrailles. Le Cheix gaat bij het huwelijk van Anne in 1538 over naar de familie le Loup (van Pièrre-Brune bij Espinasse) en komt in 1640 aan de Boucherons bij het 2e huwelijk van Gabrièlle le Loup, Dame de Biollet. In 1828 zijn de ruïne en gronden verkocht en een boerderij van de ruïne gemaakt. Rond 1920 is de huidige vorm ontstaan.
