Child(ren):
Walter Ayleworth was born circa 1542 at St Stephen's Parish, Hackington, Kent, England. He was the son of John Aylworth, Member of Parliament, and Elizabeth Ashton. The Aylworth family came to Canterbury from Gloucester in the early 16th century.[1] According to this ancient history book in Latin, the family has a very deep ancestry at St Augustine's Abbey, Bristol, Gloucester, England.[2][3]
Walter Ayleworth was married to Jane Stockett circa 1570 at Canterbury, Kent, England. According to the 1619 Visitation of Kent, the couple had at least five known children, all born at St Stephen's Parish in Hackington, Kent, England.[4][5] In Luce Stockett's 1600 will, she left money to her son and daughter Ayleworth's "seven children."[6]
