John Aylworth was born circa 1515 in Aylworth, Gloucester, England. According to a small wikipedia page, he was the second son of Anthony Aylworth of Aylworth, Gloucester, England. wiki In researching the family more closely, a pedigree was found that goes back to the 14th century:

As a young man, John Aylworth was in the service of Richard Cromwell. The first certain record of Aylworth was in May of 1537, when Cromwell attempted (unsuccessfully) to help him procure a farm at the parsonage of St Martin. In September of 1539, Richard Cromwell was able to help John Aylworth (then of London) procure a lease on the former hospital building of St John the Baptist in Wells, Somerset, England.

John Aylworth was married to Elizabeth Ashton circa 1540. Her parents are unknown.
