Zilveren jubileum te Bussum

Het gebeurt nogal eens dat we een jubileum kunnen vermelden, al zal het beslist wel zo zijn dat er veel meer jubilea zijn dan ons bekend is, eenvoudig omdat we er geen bericht van krijgen. Vanzelfsprekend geven we gaarne bekendheid aan jubilea van werknemers. Dat is ook het geval met het zilveren jubileum van de heer J.J. Welling, werkzaam bij C.M.Bultink's moderne bakkerij in Bussum. De jubilaris trad in september 1939 in dienst bij de toenmalige eigenaar, de heer P.N. Baltus, als bakker-bezorger. Aanvankelijk begon hij als noodhulp, maar de heer Baltus zag iets in hem en gaf hem al gauw een vaste aanstelling. Hij getuigde van hem bij de overname van het bedrijf op 1 mei 1950 door de heer Bultink : " Het is eerlijke vakbekwame kracht, wees zuinig op hem ".
Vanaf 1 mei 1950 werd hij chef-bakker en hij is dit heden nog. Wat de heer Bultink van hem zegt? "Zijn werklust en enorme vitaliteit gaan gepaard aan een groot vakmanschap en minstens zo'n grote liefde voor het vak. De grote sortering brood, broodjes, stokken, galles, klein luxe enz. enz., welke hij dagelijks maakt is altijd even correct, mooi en lekker "
Buiten de bakkerij maakt de heer Welling zich verdienstelijk in de vakbeweging, vooral als penningmeester en verder in het bestuur van de Lagere Technische School, Ziekenfonds enz.
De feestelijke viering van dit jubileum vindt plaats op dinsdag 27 oktober a.s. met een receptie van 6 tot 7 uur n.m. in hotel " De Gooische Boer " te Bussum.
