Clara Coster is de dochter van Emanuel Coster, van beroep diamantversteller, en Naatje van Lier. Clara wordt op 16 april 1905 in Rotterdam geboren. Zij huwt met Mozes Bloemendal op 1 juli 1936 in Amsterdam. Clara werkt als verkoopster in de Bijenkorf. Uit haar huwelijk met Mozes worden twee kinderen geboren, Benjamin in 1938 en Emanuel in 1940. Het gezin Bloemendal-Coster woont dan op het adres Korte Meerhuizenstraat 10 in Amsterdam.

Clara komt samen met haar kinderen op 19 juli 1942 aan in kamp Westerbork. Op 5 oktober 1942 wordt ze gedeporteerd naar Auschwitz. Clara en haar kinderen worden direct na aankomst op 8 oktober 1942 in Auschwitz vermoord.
