    Tekst van het bidprentje';

    Mijn man, onze vader en grootvader is naar onze mening veel te vroeg van ons heengegaan. Immers hij was sterk van gezondheid en kende geen ziekten. Dit bleek duidelijk in zijn manier van hard werken op zijn boerderij. BOvendien was werken voor hem zijn leven en zijn hobby. Als moeiwlijkheden zich voordeden, dan was een nacht slapen voldoende om de andere morgen weer vrolijk door te gaan. Bij hem was het gezegde duidelijk; "De boer hij ploegde door"! Met zijn zacht en zorgzaam karakter had hij niet alleen aandacht voor zijn gezin, maar ook voor zijn medemensen en collega's .

    Veel heeft hij genoten van zijn kleinkinderen, ook nog tijdens zijn slopende ziekte. Gelukkig heeft hij een korte onderbreking beleefd. De mooie zomer van 1995 heeft hem, samn met zijn vrouw, een fijne vakantie bezorgd in Oostenrijk. Land en gewassen trokken zijn aandacht.

    Als een diep gelovig man wist hij de laatste ;maanden zijn ziekt te verwerken. Ondanks ons vedriet over zijn heengaan , willen we oprecht dankbaar  zijn dat we hem als man, vader en grootvader mochten hebben."
