Zij was zeer actief in KAV als verantwoordelijke voor ontspanning en als bestuurslid van KAV St-Bartholomeus te Merksem.

Zij kon zeer mooi tekenen en speelde ook banjo in haar jeugdjaren.
Gans haar leven was ze zeer creatief o.a. handwerk, bloemschikken, kantklossen ...

Het gezin met zeven kinderen heeft echter veel energie en tijd opgeslorpt.
Dit zware gezin heeft ook een zware tol voor haar gezondheid geëist.
