Beroep: Sergeant (onderofficier) op de VOC schip Keukenhof (heeft meestal het bevel over de militairen aan boord). Het schip voer voor de Kamers Amsterdam en Zeeland.

Peter Cornelis Beeckman (uit Nimweegen) trad op 23 oktober 1753 in dienst van Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie als sergeant bij VOC Kamer Amsterdam.
Op 23 oktober 1753 vertrekt het schip De Keukenhof op weg naar Batavia (huidig Jakarta) alwaar het op 14 juni 1754 aankwam.
Het schip keerde op 30 oktober 1754 terug naar de haven van Texel alwaar het op 31 mei 1755 aankwam. Die reis voerde via Kaap de Goede Hoop (aankomst 12 januari 1755 vertrek 10 februari 1755). Aan de Kaap bestond de bemanning uit 154 koppen. Onder de tien passagiers bevonden zich drie slaven en één veroordeelde.
De Keukenhof vertrok op 13 oktober 1755 weer uit de haven van Texel richting Batavia waar het op 13 mei 1756 aankwam. Zijn aanstaande vrouw Christina Hester Swaen (inmiddels weduwe van Albertus Betmar) was mee op deze reis, want op 10 juni 1756 zijn Peter Cornelius Beeckman en Christina Hester Swaen getrouwt in Batavia.
Er volgden enkele reizen in De Oost en De Keukenhof keerde op 2 september 1758 terug in Nederland, in Rammekens, (Fort Rammekens) bij Vlissingen.
Op 28 juli 1759 vertrok De Keukenhof weer richting Batavia en de Keukenhof keerde weer terug in de haven van Texel op 18 juli 1762, in de tussentijd is dochter Anna Petronella geboren.
Op 15 oktober 1763 vertrok De Keukenhof voor een nieuwe reis naar Batavia. En het schip keerde weer terug in de haven van Texel op 18 mei 1766 en op 13 september 1766 is Peter Cornelius Beeckman in Batavia overleden. Op die datum lag het schip De Keukenhof in de haven van Texel.

Kennelijk zijn Peter Cornelius Beeckman en Christina Hester Swaen na de eerste of tweede reis met de Keukenhof naar Batavia daar gebleven, want zij zijn er getrouwd, dochter Anna Petronella is er in 1761 geboren en Peter Cornelius is er in 1766 overleden.
