Als 15-jarige hielp Abraham zijn vader als met de administratie.
Abraham houdt de leiding over de fabriek in Oss, terwijl zijn broer Simon naar Rotterdam gaat om de meelhandel te leiden. Josef treedt in 1928 af als directeur om zich in parijs te kunnen vestigen.
Bram heeft de oorlog overleefd door samen met zijn vrouw in Heemstede onder te duiken.
Op 31 Augustus 1935 wordt Abraham van den Bergh door H.M. de Koningin benoemd tot Ridder in de Orde van Oranje Nassau.
Op 1 Januari 1921 wordt de firma omgezet in de Naamloze Vennootschap Gebrs. Van den Bergh's Industrie- en Handelmaatschappij. Directeuren zijn dan Abraham en zijn broers Isidoor, Joseph en Simon van den Bergh.
