Trox Christiaens van Leer [of Lier], present, soldaat onder de Compagnie bij Graaf Hendrik van Nassau trouwt met Hillegien Thomas op 27 oktober 1638.
Christiaan en Hilletien gingen op 27 okt 1638 in ondertrouw volgens het trouwboek van 1606 van de stad Groningen. De broer van Hilletien, Reiner Thomas trad hierbij op als getuige. Een huwelijksdatum is niet bijgeschreven.

Trox Christiaens krijgt in 1648 het klein burgerrecht en wordt toegelaten tot het Snijdersgilde [kleermakers]. [i.e. toelating tot de gilden en recht op verkiezing in de stedelijke magistratuur].
Trox woont in de Oosterstraat en wordt ingeschreven als lidmaat van de Nederlands Hervormde Kerk.

Na onderzoek blijkt Christiaen nog een broer Jan Trocks gehad te hebben in Leer [Ost Friesland]. Deze broer Jan is gehuwd geweest met Annegien [Oytje] Dieters. Deze echtelieden lieten hun zoon Sylvester dopen in het jaar 1672 in de Grote Kerk zu Leer.
