Notes about Johannes "Johan" Beers

Johannes Beers was in het begin van zijn loopbaan werkzaam bij de Politie. Hij heeft toen een fout gemaakt, wat is niet terug te vinden tot nu toe.

Daarna was hij werkzaam op het postkantoor.

Na de inval van de Jappen in nacht van 10 op11 januarie 1942 capatuleerde Nederands Indië op 8 maart 1942.

In de maanden na de capatulatie werden de Nederlandse Indiërs te werk gesteld als slavenarbeiders in het land zelf en daar buiten.

Johannes Beers werd te werkgesteld aan de beruchte Burma-spoorlijn.
Nadat de slavenarbeid daar klaar was werd hij tewerk gesteld in een fabriek in Japan waar hij later overleed in een hospitaal aan maagvliesonsteking op 15 april 1945.
