Peter I van Bretagne (?, 1191 - ?, 6 juli 1250), of van Dreux, bijg.Mauclerc, was een zoon van Robert II van Dreux en Yolande van Coucy. Aanvankelijk was hij voorbestemd voor de geestelijkheid, maar na de moord op Arthur I van Bretagne, huwt Filips II van Frankrijk de Bretonse erfgename Adelheid uit aan Peter, in de hoop op die manier Bretagne dichter bij Frankrijk te brengen. Samen met Filips II van Frankrijk strijdt Peter tegen Engeland en Jan zonder Vrees en neemt hij deel aan de kruistocht der Albigenzen. Peter strijdt nadien aan de zijde van Lodewijk VIII van Frankrijk tegen Hendrik III van Engeland, maar neemt na Lodewijks dood deel aan de revoltes tegen Blanca van Castilië. Na de dood van Adelheid regeert hij tot 1237 als regent voor zijn minderjarige zoon Jan I. In 1249 neemt hij deel aan de Egyptische kruistocht van Lodewijk IX van Frankrijk, maar sterft kort nadien.
Hij werd de vader van:
* Jan I (1217-1286)
* Yolande (1218-1277), gehuwd met Hugo XI van Lusignan
* Arthur (1220-1224).
