    Reinoud III van Bourgondië (1093-1148) was een zoon van graaf Steven I van Bourgondië en Beatrijs van Lotharingen. In 1102 volgde hij zijn vader op als graaf van Bourgondië. Na een strijd met Koenraad van Zähringen om de voogdij over Koenraad van Hohenstaufen, verliest hij alle gebieden ten oosten van de Jura. De benaming van de streek Franche-Comté werd afgeleid van zijn titel franc-comte.
    Reinoud huwde in 1130 met Agatha van Lotharingen, dochter van Simon I van Lotharingen, en werd de vader van Beatrix I.
