Op 21-2-1763 wordt Areth Smeets genoemd als eigenaar van een brouwketel en -getuig in iemand anders brouwhuis. Anna Gelissen was in 1774 eigenaresse van de helft van een huis aan de Rijksweg-Zuid tegenover de Brugstraat gelegen (smabers-15/27).
