Marjo studeerde Geschiedenis MO A en B, Sociale Academie maatschappelijk werk afgerond en management opleiding.

KDV Brink bevindt zich in de wijk Middenhoven. Het pand ligt aan een park met veel groen waar wij regelmatig met de kinderen een ommetje maken. Brink is een gezellige vestiging met op de parterre een 6 groepskinderdagverblijf en op de 1e etage een buitenschoolse opvang.

Op de Brink werken we zoveel mogelijk in de geest van pedagogen Emmi Pikler en Malaguzzi. Dat betekent extra aandacht voor verzorging en ruime aandacht voor wat kinderen zelf inbrengen aan ideeën en verhalen. Kinderen krijgen de ruimte om zich te ontwikkelen op hun eigen manier, in hun eigen tempo, uitgaande van hun eigen karakter en talenten. Er wordt gedanst en gezongen en al deze activiteiten worden met de fotocamera vastgelegd. De groepen hebben allemaal een digitaal fotolijstje zodat ouders een impressie krijgen van deze activiteiten. Ook besteden wij samen met de kinderen aandacht aan speciale thema’s zoals bijvoorbeeld voeding. Wat is gezond eten? Wat is groente? Waar komt groente vandaan? Hoe smaakt het?

De dagindeling is ook kindgericht. Veel oudere kinderen gaan tussen de middag niet meer slapen maar gaan in het atelier aan de slag. De kinderen knutselen hier vrij uit zonder ‘gestoord’ te worden door de jongere kinderen. Daarnaast hebben we een 3+ project: kinderen die er aan toe zijn krijgen werkjes op eigen niveau aangeboden. Wij doen dat met kleine groepjes en alleen als het kind er zelf plezier aan beleeft.

De pedagogisch medewerkers genieten ervan om samen met de kinderen te zijn en zich te verplaatsen in hun belevingswereld. De pedagogisch medewerkers zijn enthousiast en vormen een hecht team. Op KDV Brink laten wij de uitgangspunten van KinderRijk: plezier, respect, ontwikkeling en fantasie in ons dagelijks handelen terugkomen en dat zie je!
