Bourgeois Jr.; daughter Shirleen Kelly Michel; parents Dominic Vincent Cortese and Ida Grillot. She is survived by her adoring grandchildren Norbert Joseph Michel (Whitney), Keith Anthony Michel and Vickie Marie Michel; great-grandsons Hunter Victor Michel and Lucas Edward Michel. Shirley attended Gayarre Elementary school and graduated from McDonogh High School. She was an active parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church. Shirley was an officer and member of many clubs and organizations, including the S.C.B. Nifty-Fifties Group. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA 70047 on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00am. Visitation beginning at the church at 9:00am. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum.
