Work on this family tree started in 1982. Between 1982 and 1997 I did archival research in the provinces of North Brabant, South Holland and Utrecht, at the Central Bureau for Genealogy and later via OpenArchives and WieWasWie.

Over the years I have received additions from various (distant) relatives: Aad Poppelier, Mirjam Poppelier, H. de Bot and Evelyn Popelier.

Thanks to the open datasets of the BHIC and Open Archives, I have been able to significantly expand the family tree. I developed my own software to extract data from the XML files and add them to the family tree.

I checked the end result for errors and completeness against already published databases by Arno Romeijnders and Bas de Vet on Genealogy Online, and by Corné van Zwol and Rienus Domenie.
