    In deze akte, Archief Groningen, Archief Tjarda van Starkenborgh, 581-333 staat niet alleen dat ze de dochter is van Gijsbert Harmen en Josina (Elisabeth) Clant maar ook dat deze schenking voor 'haar onderhout en voordeel gedurende haar minderjarige leven is'. De schenking betreft o.a. 80 grazen land, veel jonkers in die tijd mochten blij zijn als ze zoveel land bezaten. Omgerekend is het ongeveer 30 ha.
    Margaretha Elisabeth is de nicht van haar oma Anna Eleonora Ripperda.
