Notes about Jacobus Oudmaijer

Na 5 maandjes getrouwd te zijn gaat Jacobus op 30 october 1868 van de Amsterdamse Heerengracht naar Arnhem. Maria Schram komt hem 9 april 1869 na. Zij is dan hoogzwanger en 11/2 maand later is Jacobus geboren. Een jaartje later gaat de prille familie terug naar Amsterdam waar ze 11-1871 in de Klein Kattenburgstraat wonen. Maria overlijdt tien maanden na de geboorte van haar tweede zoon (Hendrik). Bij de geboorte van Hendrik woont het jonge gezin in de Weesperstraat.

Jacobus hertrouwt exact vijf jaar na zijn 1e huwelijk te Amsterdam met Margaretha Heutenik en is dan verhuisd naar de Buiten Bantammerstraat. Daar komt Gerardus zijn halfbroertjes Jacobus en Hendricus gezelschap houden. Bij de volgende drie geboortes wonen zij steeds op een ander adres; achtereenvolgens Rozenstraat (5-75), Marnixkade (5-77) en Slijkstraat (5-79). April 1885 zijn ze naar de Tuinstraat verhuisd.
Het verhuizen gaat daarna nog door: 7-1892 te 2e Hugo de Grootstraat, 1893 te Harenstraat 71, 1895 achtereenvolgens te Marnixstraat 179, Tuinstraat 71 en Egelantierstraat 94, 1899 te Lindedwarsstraat 26 en Egelantierstraat 188, 1901 te Prinsegracht 2, 1903 te Tuinstraat 71, 1908 te kl. Kattenburgstraat 144.

Margaretha overlijdt na het huwelijk van Jacobus met Felten. Volgens de overlijdens-aantekening laat zij wel kinderen maar geen successie na. Jacobus maakt als weduwnaar het huwelijk van alle trouwende kinderen mee. Hun kinderen (misschien uitgezonderd Hendrika Margaretha die in november 1906 als dienstbode naar den Bosch gaat) overleven hun beider ouders allemaal.
