Notes about Paulus Pieters Oosterhaven

Paulus vertrok in 1858 samen met Jantje Swaal naar Noord-Amerika, hij laat vrouw en 7 kinderen achter. Daar deden ze alsof ze getrouwd waren en Jantje overleed daar in 1880 als Jantje Sijbrands Oosterhaven, geb. Zwaal. P.P. Oosterhaven overleed in 1882 in Friesland, enkele maanden nadat zijn echte vrouw overleed.
Jantje ligt begraven op: Old Vriesland Cemetery in Zeeland Township (section 15, Gordon Street) R-6, L-12

Paulus Pieters Oosterhaven, 52, emigrates in 1858 together with Jantje Sybrens Zwaal, 35. At that time they're both married.... but not to each other. Paulus leaves behind a wife and 6 kids and Jantje a husband and a daughter. I found them back in the 1860 census of Lancaster, Erie County, NY, Paulus being an engineer at the time.
In 1870 they're living in Zeeland Twnsp, Ottawa Co., MI; Paulus is listed as farmer. I found a burial record on Old Vriesland Cemetary for Jantje Sybrens Zwaal. She died 5 feb 1880. Apparently husband Paulus went back to the Netherlands: he died there in 1882!
I also found an emigration for his son Jan Schelte and family in 1878. Is it possible to find out where he went? EG. did he take over his father's farm in Zeeland Township? Is it possible to find proof for Paulus return to the Netherlands?
