Princes van Chalon - Oranje
Claudia van Chalon (1498 - Diest, 31 mei 1521) was de vrouw van Hendrik III van Nassau met wie zij trouwde in 1515. Zij was de moeder van René van Chalon Heer van Breda, de eerste Nassau die zich Prins van Oranje mocht noemen.
Claudia van Chalon was een dochter van Jan IV van Chalon-Arlay en Philiberte van Luxemburg-Ligny. Zij was grotendeels aan het Franse hof opgevoed en zou de verbinding leggen tussen het Huis de Chalon en het Huis Nassau. Zij overleed te Diest op 31 mei 1521. Haar lichaam is bijgezet in de Grote Kerk aan de Grote Markt Breda te Breda.
Van haar broer Philibert van Chalon erfde haar zoon René in 1530 het prinsdom Orange en de titel Prins van Oranje.
