Ook lezen wij bij Salinas, dat Mencia na reeds voordientijd twee malen ontijdig te zijn bevallen, in maart 1527 en een zoon ter wereld bracht, die slechts enige
uren leefde, juist lang genoeg om den doop te ontvangen.

Zoon van Jan V van Nassau - Dillenburg ( A-XI-e ) en Elisabeth van Hessen

Hendrik III; is graaf van Nassau - Dillenburg en Dietz Duitsland, heer van Siegen 12 januari 1483, en heer van Breda 14 september 1538.

Hij was een broer van Willem de Rijke.

Hij erfde in 1504 van diens oom Engelbert II alle Nederlandse bezittingen .

Samen met keizer Maximilaan, wiens gunst hij genoot won hij de slag bij Guinegete d'Areo La in Spanje 1513.

Hij huwde achtereenvolgend met:
1. Francisxca van Savoye, dochter van Jacob graaf van Romonon, dit zonder kinderen.
2 Claudia Van Chalon, zuster en erfgenaam van Philibert, prins van Oranje, en dochter van
Jean Chalon, prins van Oranje en met Philiberte van Luxemourg waaruit René.
3 Mencia de Mendoza, markiezin van Cenete, erfdochter van Roderiques en Maria Fonsesca.
Hendrik overleed in het kasteel te Breda op 14 september 1538.
