    Baernt (Barent) Cornelisz., geb. ca. 1520/1530, mondig 19-3-1558, landhuurder in Oud- en Nieuw-Pendrecht (1557, 1561), tr. N.N.

    Hij lijkt mij (K.J. Slijkerman) de oudste of één der oudste zonen geweest te zijn. In de kohieren der 10e Penning van Pendrecht over 1557'° en 1561" is Barent Cornelisz. genoemd als huurder van percelen van 1 1/2 morgen 75 roeden en 1 morgen 2 lijnen in het poldertje Oud-Pendrecht en van 2'A morgen in Nieuw-Pendrecht. In het voorgaande kohier over 1553 komt hij nog niet voor. Opmerkelijk is dat een aangrenzend perceel in Oud-Pendrecht gehuurd werd door ene Lenert Barendtsz., die al in 1517 genoemd is als koper van tienden in het Charloisse deel van de polder Smeetsland en misschien een broer van de vader van Barent Cornelisz. was.
