    Dit echtpaar is uitgebreid ter sprake gebracht in mijn artikel over het geslacht Groenen- boom in het tijdschrift De Nederlandsche Leeuw jaargang 1987.
    In een akte van attestatie gedateerd 9 febr. 1688 betreffende een vechtpartij, waarbij Huyg Leenderts Groenenboom gewond raakte, wordt ook melding gemaakt van Cornelis Jansz. Tack.
    Een jaarrekening van de diakonie van Charlois van 17 mei 1708 spreekt van betaling van 19 gld. aan Cornelis Tack voor arbeidsloon en leverantie van latten en teenen. Deze notitie is het laatste mij bekende levensteken van Cornelis. (K.J. Slijkerman)

    Van 11 nov. 1737 dateert de staat en inventaris van de nagelaten boedel van Jannetje Dirks den Beste, overleden te Charlois in november 1737 en weduwe van Cornelis Jansz. Groenenboom. Zij liet onder andere een huis in 't Kerkland te Charlois na. Opgave van haar goederen werd gedaan door haar meerderjarige kinderen Jan en Cornelia Groenenboom. De twee kinderen van haar dochter en schoonzoon Maeyke Groenenboom en Willem van Besooyen; Neeltje en Aryaentje van Besooyen, werden toen gealimenteerd door de Heilige-Geest en de diakonie van Charlois, zodat de inventarisatie op verzoek van deze instel- lingen plaats vond. Op 5 dec. 1738 werd rekening gedaan door de Heilige-Geestmeesters en de diakoniearm- meester van Charlois, die zolang de boedel hadden beheerd. Deze rekening werd overgebracht aan de schout en schepenen van Charlois en aan Jan en Cornelia Groenenboom. De ontvangst in de boedel bedroeg 348 gld., terwijl de uitgaaf 319 gld. 9 stuivers en 6 penningen was. De vier staken - de kinderen Jan, Dirk en Cornelia Groenenboom en de genoemde weeskinderen- ontvingen dus elk het prinselijke erfdeel van 7 gld. en 2 stuivers ! Het genoemde huis te Charlois werd voor 296 gld. en de inboedel voor 26 gld. overgedaan aan Jan, Dirk en Cornelia Groenenboom, de kinderen van Jannetje Dirks den Beste

    Op 6 april 1692 werd ene Jannetje Gerids den Besten te Charlois als lidmaat aangenomen. Ik kan echter in die periode geen Jannetje "Gerritsdr." den Besten in dit geslacht plaatsen enveronderstel dan ook dat het patroniem foutief is opgetekend en dat dit "Dirckdr." had moeten zijn. (Slijkerman)
