    Adriaen van Eynthouts
    trad in1599 in bij de norbertijnen van Tongerlo, werd in 1603 als student uitgezonden naar de universiteit van Leuven, maar was het jaar daarop weer terug in zijn abdij. Vervolgens was hij achtereenvolgens pastoor van Waalwijk, Tilburg en Enschot, in welke laatste parochie hij op 19 februari 1634 kwam te overlijden. Hij was een onbekwame pastoor, bisschop Ophovius noemde hem zelfs 'hartstikke gek'

    VII-50. Adriaen van Eynthouts is in 1577 geboren te Aarle uit het huwelijk van jonker Joris van Eynthouts en van Cunera van Fleru. In 1599 werd hij ingekleed in de abdij van Tongerlo en een jaar later sprak hij daar zijn professie uit. Vanwege de abdij werd hij in 1603 naar Leuven gezonden om te studeren. In 1604 werd hij aangesteld tot subprior en novice en meester van het norbertijnenklooster. Sedert 1607 was heer Adriaen pastoor van Waalwijk, waar hij tevens het nonnenklooster bestuurde. Uit de visitaties bleek, dat zijn pastoraat een bende was; dat gold ook voor de situatie in het klooster. In 1625 werd hij overgeplaatst naar Tilburg, waar hij tot 1632 pastoor was. Bisschop Ophovius (VII-48) rekende hem tot de ineptos pasfores, kwalificeerde hem als totus insanus (hartstikke gek) en gispte hem in 1631 om zijn luiheid en voorkeur voor familiezaken boven de zielzorg. Ten slotte werd hij in 1632 weggepromoveerd naar het onaanzienlijke Enschot, waar hij op 19 februari 1634 overleed.
